About Our Women In Politics

The Our Women In Politics organization strives to demonstrate the impact of women in political leadership, as well as bring much-needed attention and support to the many voices of women who want to be a part of global change. To better serve the motivated women whom we aim to empower, establishing a sense ofcommunity is crucial. We are completely non-partisan, seeking instead to bring as many minds as possible to greater discussions of the public good. In the interest of combining strengths from both sides of the party line, we invite everyone to the discussion regardless of party affiliation.

Our Mission.

Women in politics have always faced unique challenges, be they barriers to positions of power, or restrictions on our ability to use those powers for the greater good. In what is seen by most as the most politically progressive age in history, it is essential that we do not forget the work that is still to be done to establish true equity. With the necessary amount of communication, guidance and support, we can ensure that no woman will have to stand alone in their journey to fight for positive change. It is our duty, to those that have paved the way for minds in every generation, to stand with the pro-active women of today and guarantee that their voices are heard loud and clear.

Our Methodology.

To protect the future of women’s political representation, ensuring a strong base of voters is a central component of building a support base. However, our responsibility to solidifying our role in the political landscape goes beyond the ballot. It is also necessary that we educate action-oriented young women and prepare them for important places in our culture, and maintain support for our women currently holding and running for offices around the country.

In the pursuit of overcoming barriers of prejudice and discrimination in politics, it is important that we create an environment where every woman’s mind is valued.
